The only time Jay played the Lakers in the Staple Center was November 22, 2002 when Kobe scored 21 points. No disrespect to Jay or Kobe. I've always loved this video and wanted more of the story, but couldn't find it. Wondering if anyone knows more details. Maybe he's mixing two stories, one from the Staple Center and the other from playing the Lakers in Chicago on March 11, 2003 when Kobe scored 36 (at least closer to 40)? Any insights would be great, as I've retold this so many times, but just realizing it doesn't quite add up. Obviously this doesn't change anything about the truth of Kobe's work ethic.
I was thinking the same thing. Real easy to see what happened in Williams short career and it does not check out with the details that he specifically used
I love PBD. I love his story. I love his hero's arc, in business, marriage, faith, children.... He's so down to earth, simple, no bs, and so strong in his values. I wish I was 20 again and could really follow his wisdom from the go but better late than never!!
how did you feel overlooked when you were recruited by Coach K and Duke out of high school? You go on to win the NCAA championship and was selected 2nd overall in the NBA! SMH
Kobe was one of a kind. Used to see him at mass. He is missed. One thing about this video that hit me is the fact he mentioned “the first time he attempted suicide”. Did I hear that correctly? I had no idea.
This Kobe story always gets me man. Hearing Kobe’s work ethic just makes me want to get off my ass and go conquer in life. He worked that hard. Always love that man ❤ rip bean
Remember guys it's all about time⌚ Kobe 🏀 had 24 ⌛ like everyone else, so sleep less to overtake your Competitors...... Kobe sir is legend that world had.... RIP 🙏 ,.............
That "you inspire me to be better" line is pure demoralizing lol! It puts you in limbo where you would think if he was thanking you or trash-talking you. Whatever it is, you definitely would know your place!
Life is tired when you live within your dream, make it works, your imagination will happen once you adapt yourself well enough. You're amazing and special. I've found this video really inspiration, I hope you like it too💯👍: ruclips.net/video/B2ghsgKleY4/видео.html❤️💛

this is really TRUE. i am never a lucky guy , i have nothing in my life given to me. so i have to work hard at everything if i really wanted it. so i put in the work to get it. just putt in the work if you dont have the luck.
A tragedy. He worked hard all his life to create a better one for his family and he passed without being able to enjoy what he created properly. May his soul find peace at the very least.
0:26 Shaq poses as Superman and Kobe as Batman. Batman&Superman the world's finest. :) The best and the second best player in the league in the same team. That Lakers team had the potential to surpass 90s Bulls dynasty. The potential was absolutely there.
Hi! Dear God who art in heaven hallow be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever in Jesus Christ's name we pray amen.
i am sure kobe truely touched jwill and the truth is jwill is one of the better and upcoming espn nba anaylst. he has a gift and i am glad he found something.

Lmao what is that stupid ass clip of the cheetah.
1:42 “It doesn’t matter how hard you work. I will work harder.” I’ve been saying this even before I watched this video. It’s the fucking mindset 💯
Kobe wasn’t the tallest, he didn’t have the highest vertical leap, heck he wasn’t the fastest, but not many can say they would outwork him.

People have to understand how great Jay was as a player.
Constantly 👈that word is powerful.
I watch this everytime I go out for a run.
